The Supreme Court in Catalonia, Spain has ruled on behalf of an employee who was fired for calling his boss “loco” (crazy) and a “hijo de puta” (son of a bitch).
The employee’s outburst apparently occurred after the man became frustrated about not being paid his monthly expenses by the gas installation company where he worked.
The judge, who ruled that the employee’s insults are common and no longer socially unacceptable as they were decades ago, ordered the company to either return the man to his old job or pay him €6,500 as compensation for firing him.
